Thornbury Street Directory

1926/27

We are fortunate that the Thornbury Museum has shown us the whole of a Thornbury Street Directory for 1926-27.  We also have a copy of a small section of the 1910 street directory, but would like to hear from anyone who has the complete directory, or one for any other year.

These directories differ from trade directories such as Kelly's in that they seem to list all the householders living in the various streets of Thornbury, as well as those living in Kington and Morton.  In some cases, the name of a business is shown as well as the name of the individual associated with the business.

We have copied the names in each street in the hope that they may be of interest to others.   Just click on the name of a street or area listed in the left hand column to see all the names listed.
