The house now known as 19 Pullins Green was part of the row of houses known as Victoria Terrace. We haven't seen the deeds of all of these houses yet. However, having seen the deeds of number 19, we believe that they were all built by George Hodges, the Thornbury builder, about 1870. We know that the land that the house was built on was bought by George Hodges in 1860. George Hodges owned and let the four houses in the Terrace and the adjoining house, now called 23 Pullins Green. After his death in 1905, the houses were managed and let by the Trustees of George Hodges' Estate and in the case of number 19, we know that the Wilkinson family was renting the house up to 1970, as tenants of the Hodges' Estate.
